About Dr. Kumar

The host of The Dr. Kumar Show is a board-certified gastroenterologist.

Unlike the hosts of some other medical radio shows, Dr. Kumar is not pushing a book or any other product, nor does he receive any compensation from KJCE. He does the show as a community service.

“I find that medicine is often made to seem ‘above’ public understanding,” says Dr. Ramamirtham. “Health care professionals use Latin words and technical jargon that can be indecipherable to the lay person. However, the concepts are simple, the advanced technology is comprehensible, and the truth is discernable.”
